In 1931, Mrs. M. C. Bennette returned to Liberia after years away, determined to break the chains of ignorance among young Liberians. From a single class of 20 students on Old Road, Sinkor, Haywood Mission Institute has grown into one of the nation’s oldest and most respected Christian schools.
